Marvellous Accomodation

Everything. Great facilities with 2 swimming pools on the beach, always excellent service (especially Pong Pang and also also Nancy, Boy and Nut), large and clean rooms.and varied and delicious breakfast.

Nothing really. The beach chairs near the beach should have foam mattresses and the coffees made by a machine were not good.

Very Good

Pretty good resort with clean room and huge main swimming pool and another smaller one near beach. Room was comfortable and cleaned daily which is impossible to expect in Australia. Staff very polite and friendly. Great breakfasts. 15-20 min walk to fishermen village - the mail attraction point in the area with number of restaurants, shops, massage salons etc. Night markets almost every day I believe except Thursdays with good variety of food and entertainment. Prices not cheap so trade on every purchase to reduce price sometimes twice. Hotel also offering free kayaks so it's great to explore nearby area. Hotel restaurant is pretty pricey and probably more expensive compare with Melbourne so we didn't eat in there. Lots of families stayed in hotel, so pretty good for families. Recommend.

Beaches near hotel as in Koh Samui in general pretty dirty and not maintained. Water near beaches also not really clean. The sand on that part of the island pretty coarse so not really comfortable to walk.

Wonderful

multiple pools. excellent thai massage. great breakfast. excellent great value local restaurants within a short walk if you dont want to pay hotel prices for dinner.

confusing that the shuttle bus driver meeting us at the airport held up Celes, rather than our names. We had booked at Palm Beach Resort. So did not recognise the name of the hotel.

The breakfast here is amazing and the setting for the breakfast on the beach is perfect. My children loved the pool.

We had asked for two properties next to each other and, for our first stay (we stayed one night, moved to Koh Tao) and came back for three nights, there were in different blocks.

The staff was polite and helpful. Breakfast was great and the poola very nice as well the access to the beach.

We where given a room next to a very busy road with a crazy amount of traffic noise coming in to the room. The door was bent and had an inch wide opening with the frame allowing all the noise even more easily in. It was absolutely impossible to sleep. I have never experienced a this terrible room what comes to outside noise. Upon complaining we where told that this is a terrible discomfort to their guests, which they are fully aware of and where told that the same problem is with other rooms in building 6. Requesting an other room we where offered one in building 6 as all other rooms where reserved. I wonder why :) After a looong conversation with management the next day, we where not allowed to cancel and redundes the rest our 4-day stay. Finally they very reluctantly offered a room in a quieter building. I guess reluctantly as they considered it as an upgrade, which it kinda was as it had an extra single bed.....which we had no use of. Also about half the hotel was under construction and electrical tools ie saws and grinders started running estot morning. Was ok as we wake up early and tend to do things outside the hotel. Both construction and road noise concerning some rooms, should definitely be communicated prior to guests making a reservation. Management told us that they have informed booking.com about this already last year and where wondering why this info is not added to booking.

What was the highlight of Samui Palm Beach Resort

Love the resort, will be back!

The bed was firm yet very comfy. Likewise, their pillows were very firm but super comfy. I've got 2 slipped disc at my neck and lower spine so bed and pillow is v impt for me. Room is comfortably spacious and has drying rack in the balcony. There's 2 basins and they provide beach towels and sandals in the room. Housekeeping is also very good and makes the room clean enough. We tried to charge our phones and turn on the light in the walk-in wardrobe room but end up tripped the electricity. Thereafter, we realised that the aircon wasn't able to cool at all and reported the next day, which they immediately rectified! We were surprised and happy with their efficiency, most of all, we were delighted that we need not change our room as we have already start unpacking! Some staff even remember our room number when we tried to book the free shuttle, despite they were quite a number of other guests. We would also like to thank Miss Fang for the lovely service and smile.

There's free shuttle to Chaweng and Fisherman's Village at 3pm & 6pm for max 10 pax per time slot and have to pre-book as it's first-come-first-serve. While free shuttle is much appreciated, it will be nice to have more time slots that's earlier than 3pm and later than 6pm. The breakfast is pretty much similar daily, but will be nice if the Thai Soup section can have more variety / changes rather than the Fish soup.

Good

No hair conditioner.

Staff didn’t introduce the environment and facilities in the hotel. He showed me a surprised face when I checked in at 11pm and looked at his watch, very clumsy when he asked me to fill in the form, kinda like rushed me into the room, not welcoming at all. My first time to experience this, very weird.

Lovely location on beach with amazing breakfast choices. Beautiful pools and surrounding gardens. Staff were very polite.

Nice and quiet, beautiful view, quiet beach, awesomely delicious food, friendly and helpful staff. Two beautiful pools—one well maintained and one not so well maintained but still beautiful. Private beach. Did I mention the good food?

Parts of the property was not as well maintained because of lack of customers... I hope the hotel has enough customers at other times if the year to stay in business... my wife and I have been coming here since the property was a much smaller boutique hotel on a smaller, more secluded area in the days before the World Wide Web. I’m just afraid the property has grown beyond its ability to sustain itself if the number of vacant rooms we saw during our latest stay is an accurate indication.

Nice hotel at the beach

Very good service, helpful staff. Location is great, at the beach. Food and breakfast very good. Room was big and clean. Amazing pool.

There is a road next to the hotel so traffic noise was a little disturbing at night.

Good location but go elsewhere for food

Friendly Staff, good location close to beach Housekeeping were very quick to assist with any issues

Food was below standard and expensive. Breakfast was basic at best. I broke a glass in the bathroom and they charged me 2 Euros which I think is petty. They also charged too much to arrange transport for tours and taxis.

Excellent beachside hotel

Fabulous hotel, spacious rooms and bathrooms. Large comfy beds. Good air con. Immaculate gardens, lovely pool area, beach bar (happy hour 5-7). Superb breakfast. Worth booking a deluxe room/villa as these are located away from the very busy main road. Great beachside location, quiet, a little piece of paradise! Would love to return.

We had a wonderful time and felt welcomed by all the staff.

The whole resort was very clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful, in particular Nern in the breakfast restaurant and Pongpang in the Sea Grille.

It would have been good to have a door between the bathroom and the dressing area. Also, a map or information from reception about access across from one side of the resort to the other would have been really helpful.
